Chulabhorn Royal Academy has gained international recognition by winning five innovation awards from three research and innovation projects at the Seoul International Invention Fair 2025 (SIIF 2025). The event was held from 3–6 December 2025 at the COEX Convention & Exhibition Center in the Republic of Korea, and was organized by the Korea Invention Promotion Association (KIPA).
The delegation was led by Associate Professor Dr. Danupon Nantajit, Director of the Office of Research and Innovation Management, who brought faculty members and researchers from Princess Chulabhorn Royal College to participate in the international innovation competition. The team successfully received a total of five awards, consisting of three Bronze Prizes and two Special Prizes, as follows:
1.“Aethera – The Miraculous Buttery lily: From Rhizome to Flower Toward Cosmeceutical Facial Care with Nanotechnology and Liquid Crystal Delivery System”,by Dr.Watchara Kanjanakawinkul, Pharm.D., Office of the Chulabhorn Royal Academy, Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Plant under the Royal Initiative, and team. This project applies knowledge of Thai herbal medicine to develop cosmeceutical products, integrating nanotechnology and liquid crystal technology to enhance facial skin nourishment and to add value to Thailand’s biological resources. The project received a Bronze Prize at the Seoul International Invention Fair 2025.
2. “Athlete Lab Card: A Smart Card for Athletes to Measure C-Reactive Protein (CRP) Levels and Generate Personalized Recovery Plans Using Artificial Intelligence (AI)”, by Dr. Todsaporn Fuangrod, Princess Srisavangavadhana Faculty of Medicine, and team. This innovation focuses on precise health monitoring and performance recovery for athletes, utilizing biological data combined with artificial intelligence to create personalized physical recovery plans. The project received a Bronze Prize at the Seoul International Invention Fair 2025, and also won a Special Prize from the National Research Council of Thailand (NRCT) under the NRCT Special Award Competition.
3. “CRAWoundCare: An AI-Based Web Application System for the Diagnosis and Treatment Recommendation of Pressure Ulcers” by Asst. Prof. Dr. Kamonwan Chamchoy, Princess Srisavangavadhana Faculty of Medicine, and team. This digital medical innovation employs artificial intelligence to support healthcare professionals in clinical decision-making for the diagnosis and effective management of pressure ulcer patients.
The project received a Bronze Prize at the Seoul International Invention Fair 2025 and a Special Prize from the Malaysian Association of Research Scientists (MARS), Malaysia.
