On 22–23 May 2025, Chulabhorn Royal Academy (CRA) organized the “CRA ThinkShare: Innovations & Inventions Forum” at the Auditorium of the Princess Srisavangavadhana Faculty of Medicine Building, Chulabhorn Royal Academy, Lak Si District, Bangkok.
The event featured an exhibition of innovative projects by CRA students and a national innovation and invention competition for high school students. The event aims to foster knowledge and practical innovation in health, science, technology, medicine, public health, and the environment, while encouraging intellectual property registration and potential commercialization.
On 22 May 2025, the forum was formally opened by Professor Emeritus Dr. Ratchata Ratchatanawin, Acting Deputy Secretary General of Chulabhorn Royal Academy He was joined by Assistant Professor Dr. Danupon Nantajit, Director of Bureau for Research and Innovation Management, HRH Princess Chulabhorn College of Medical Science, along with the competition’s judging panel. The panel included Dr. Paniti Achararit from the the Princess Srisavangavadhana Faculty of Medicine, Associate Professor Dr. Jatuporn Kajaysri, Acting Dean of the Faculty of Science, Dr. Prasert Kham-ai, Assistant Dean for Research and Innovation of the Princess Agrarajakumari Faculty of Nursing, Ms. Mattika Chaichan, Lecturer in Community Nursing, Princess Agrarajakumari Faculty of Nursing, and Assistant Professor Dr. Supannika Kawvised from the School of Radiological Technology, Faculty of Health Science Technology.
The innovation competition for high school students, part of an ongoing CRA initiative, received 345 entries from 189 institutions nationwide. A total of 28 projects were selected for the final round. Concurrently, Chulabhorn Royal Academy held its first exhibition of student research and innovation projects, aiming to promote the work of CRA students and researchers to the wider public. Educational activities were also offered, including expert-led seminars on topics such as “Engineering in the Age of Artificial Intelligence” and “Emerging Trends in Health Science and Innovation,” led by faculty members from the Faculty of Science and Biomedical Engineering, Chulabhorn Royal Academy.
On 23 May 2025, Associate Professor Dr. Chusak Limsakul, Acting Deputy Secretary General of the Chulabhorn Royal Academy, presided over the official opening of the second day of the forum. The event featured a special lecture by Mr. Anukul Peedkaew, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Social Development and Human Security, representing the Minister, on the topic “Preparing Thai Youth for the 21st Century.” This was followed by a session on digital media literacy titled “Understanding Media Use in the Digital Era,” delivered by Mr. Jirasak Konprom, Deputy Director of Artist Production and Management at Workpoint TV.
Participants also engaged in interactive, technology-driven learning activities, including virtual clinical simulations designed to offer hands-on experience and to inspire students in applying innovative thinking to real-world challenges. The forum concluded with the announcement of the winners of the high school innovation and invention competition, recognizing outstanding creativity and practical solutions with the potential to drive sustainable development.
