On July 12, 2024, at 9:00 a.m., the Ministry of Social Development and Human Security (MSDHS), through the Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (DEP), in collaboration with Udon Thani Rajabhat University and more than 90 academic and network partners nationwide, held the 16th National Conference on Persons with Disabilities (NCPD 2024). The conference was held under the theme:
“Innovation Driving for Quality of Life of Persons with Disabilities Towards the Sustainable Thai Society on the Auspicious Occasion of His Majesty the King’s 72nd Birthday.”
The event took place at the Sam Phrao Education Center Auditorium, Udon Thani Rajabhat University, with over 1,600 participants, including representatives from educational institutions, students, academics, disability organizations, persons with disabilities, network partners from all sectors, and private enterprises.
Mr. Varawut Silpa-archa, Minister of Social Development and Human Security, delivered a keynote speech titled
“Enhancing the Quality of Life for Persons with Disabilities Towards a Sustainable Thai Society.”
The 16th National Conference on Persons with Disabilities demonstrates the collective commitment to overcoming crises and moving society forward steadily. The conference provided a platform for exchanging knowledge on research, academic work, innovation, and technological development to promote and improve the quality of life for persons with disabilities. It also offered an opportunity for all sectors to express loyalty and gratitude in honor of His Majesty the King’s graciousness and commemorate His Majesty’s 72nd birthday anniversary on July 28, 2024.
